Starfish

Monochrome #5

Living in Cape Town means there are plenty of beaches to visit all around the peninsular. Here I found a leafy starfish, that looks like some sort of seaweed; you know, like that leafy seahorse?

As it is naturally drained of colour, I present it as the final in my short monochrome series – for Ady at ColorpaletteofAdy

Near by were some weird coral type things.

Coral?

Or is it?

Starfish? 2

Beginning to look more plant than animal.

It’s got flowers!

Yep, it’s just a Dusty Miller (Jacobaea  maritima) coming into flower.

These plants certainly seem taken from the sea!… Their colour (not so green) makes me think that they can’t have too much chlorophyll.
Your blog is great!… Best wishes to you, Aquilena ⭐

Of course 🙂 I waited with this final one for your return 🙂
I never cease to be amazed by the wondrous variety of life here, after growing up in the cold North!
