I found this gorgeous red rose in a rose garden last November. I tweaked the colour a little for fun. Below is the original.

Still pretty impressive! But the harsh sunlight was draining some colour away, and I wanted it to be really red!

    A rose is always a flower that any woman likes in my opinion. Perhaps because of its romantic symbolism of love? Or the lure of its perfumed blossom.
    As always, I find SA with lots of lovely flora and fauna. Would love to visit SA, Cape Town one day as you are a great tourist promoter, showing me the wonderful things in your country 🙂 Thanks!

      I prefer roses with a lovely scent 🙂 So many nowadays have lovely blooms – and no smell at all!

        You are right! Roses these days have no scent. Must be genetically modified to grow with lesser pollen to last longer. I remember in Cameron Highlands in Malaysia, the rose plantation for rose drinks is fragrantly sensational and there were loads of bees buzzing about. Flowers were not for sale as fresh cuts, except for dried buds to make tea😊

        This photo was taken at a rose garden, where you can pay to cut your own blooms. And there is a tea garden 🙂 – Roses And cake 🙂

    So you’re telling Mother Nature her reds aren’t red enough? Better watch out, or the next time you’re out in the sun, she may paint your nose redder than an overripe tomato! 🙂

      haha No – Mother Nature’s reds were just fine, but the harsh SA sunlight drained it. So a camera did not capture what I actually saw.
      And thanks for the Red Nose quip! 😀 But as the sun is so deadly here, I never go out in it during the day, unless covered from head to toe in clothes, hat, sunglasses and SPF50!! 🙂
