Sunday Musings #19

The greatest mistake you can make in life is to be continually fearing you will make one.

– Elbert Hubbard

And that you learn more through making mistakes.

My standard response (back in the days when I had a small workforce) to issues around making mistakes was “I will expect perfection from you as soon as I can set the example. You’re quite safe for the foreseeable future!” It also came in useful (and still does) with two kids!

I’ve had lots of laughs at their expense! How can they know so much about so many things, and yet royally screw things up so often. I have suggested that the line “What do parents know anyway?” be revisited on the basis that maybe ………… just maybe …………. we have learned a few things along the way. 🙂
