Haiku 11

Your faded petals

Singed brown around the edges

Hint at better times

But you were designed

To shine in faded glory

Not so very old

Thanks your daughter DD for the gorgeous picture! ❤ I like when roses bloom made me happy and energize, but I also find dying roses pretty. It just has a unique beauty even it is dying 😉

With things getting old, feelings with them start evolving, like a rose when starts blooming,it’s all about beauty, I feel happy but when it starts drying, I feel I will miss it , it is now about the essence of existence 🙂

Old is gold…I feel the same too for seniors…who used to be in their splendour, contributing to nation building. Nice post that gave me a deep sense of appreciation of things or life forms as it ages. 😊

Wholeheartedly agree! That’s why I enjoy community work with them and would give them a chance at job interviews when the skillset meet the job. Sadly in reality, some employers only seek to hire sweet young things and guess what, these fellas would quit for $50 more. 😦
        50 is new 40 and 60 is new 50….age is but a number 😊

I think anywhere, people should be hired that can do the job, regardless of skin colour, gender, or, within reason, age. And you’re right, people are living much longer, and keeping healthier, so are productive for longer too.
