Posy

I love receiving a bunch of flowers, but I also like it when I am down to the last few survivors and can place them in a little vase as a posy.

What is a posy? Well, obviously, a small bunch of flowers; but did you know it also used to mean an inscription on a ring?

Then we all know the children’s nursery rhyme, “Ring-a-Ring-a-Roses, a pocket full of posies”; which apparently does not refer to the plague.

Ah – sorry about the link – you and I seem not to be able to play each others links!! (It still works for me, and someone else in India has tried it OK.) If you’re still interested, it is just wikipedia – Ring-a-ring-a-roses. 🙂

Very lovely cheerful arrangement err. Posy 🙂 I learnt a new word 😀 Yup, we used to sing that rhyme too, apparently I was under the misconception of Posy being some kind of flower !
