Turn Up the Heat

LM in Heat Wave

LM in Heat Wave

Even Little Monkey, (bred on the streets of Cape Town, by natural selection, to withstand the harsh southern summers), succumbs to the enervating heatwave.

Am I dreaming of a White Christmas?

You bet!

post script: What’s the white thing behind her head? It’s an empty plastic milk bottle that had treats in. Her “toy” then provides lots of fun in trying to get the treats out of the bottle. What used to take her 40 minutes now takes less than 5, but the bottle then stays by her for many days, to be chewed at will.

Poor LM struggles with the heat, but she still manages to look super cute in the photo. ❤ Less than 5 mins to get the treats out of the bottle – what a smart girl she is! 😉

        Oh Scifi, that works 🙂
My mother told me, in a hot summer she found me in my bed completely under my bedcover. Asking me what I’m doing there I told her, I’m in my igloo, it’s too cold outside.
        Fantasy is great 🙂
Hope I’ll never lose that fantasy 😉
        Have a great weekend ahead,
        Ulli

Thank you 🙂 The ‘treats in a bottle’ is an idea from LM’s dog class.
We don’t get snow here, even in winter, but something cooler than 37C would be great!!

I looked up Illinois weather and this is what I found –
Illinois has a temperate climate, with cold, snowy winters and hot, wet summers – ideal weather for corn and hogs! 😀

haha Well the average dog is suppose to be about as intelligent as a 5 year old child, and some are more ‘childlike’ than others: case in point – LM! 😀

Awe! LM looks quite cool in her shady spot. Maybe put ice cubes in her bottle 😉
    Love the mandevilla flowers! 🌸

I do often put ice cubes in their water bowl in the kitchen 🙂 But my dogs do quite well by digging a nice dirt patch in my hard-won lawn, and lying in the cooler soil. 🙂

I don’t see the falling snow that WP generously supplies for us on your blog??? Maybe you haven’t got it turned on. It really might help with the white Christmas dream. 🙂 I thought that white thing was ice cubes.
