Tweede Nuwe Jaar
Capetonians traditionally have enjoyed a second New Year on 2nd January. On this day, the Cape Minstrel Carnival took place in the city centre.
Most of us, however, just relax for the day, such as here, under the shade of massive old oak trees. With a welcome breeze from the vineyards wafting over you and a glass of ice cold champagne in your hand, you can see in the New Year, again.
What a great way to celebrate the New Year with a glass of champagne while enjoying the greenery! 😉 Don’t know if your dogs have a glass of “dog champagne” in the hands as well 😛 Enjoy Sci! ❤

January 2 is my mom’s birthday – I’ll have to let her know that she could be celebrating two things on the day!

Cheers. 🙂 I’ve tried to send the first few invitations and some went OK, while other names are “invalid”. Among those that were not accepted were you and Ady. 😦 Laura sent me a request and that was much easier – just one click and she was in. Maybe that would work with you too. You are welcome. 🙂

I wouldn’t mind celebrating 2 New Year’s now. But there have been a few in the past where one was one too too many. 😦
My husband celebrates Christmas on January 6th so I get two of those. 🙂
