Regular readers will know by now, that it doesn’t snow here in Cape Town. (Well, not on the ground anyway, but sometimes in the mountains.)
We might get the occasional hail storm in mid-winter.
But the closest we get to actual snow, could be this Snow Bush, Breynia Disticha, with its white frosted leaves;
Now blooming in mid-summer.
Bam so cute

These are lovely. I like flowers/plants in a pot or vase and love receiving a big bouquet. But always prefer seeing them in a natural setting.

Very beautiful! Love the leaf shape & colored foliage. It can make a plant look like it’s blooming the whole season.

Nice pics.. We woke up to a white wonderland this morning with heavy frost. Rumour has it we may have a white Easter! Won’t put the thermals away just yet then!

Gosh! But apparently you are more likely to have a White Easter, than a White Christmas! π

Well, we had a white Easter in 2008, (woke up to three feet of the stuff) which was the first time Maggie had ever seen snow. It was a riot to see her reaction!

I’m sure! π
I remember at school once in April, first sports lesson of the summer term, and we were all standing there in our short tennis skirts, complaining to the teacher about how cold it was. “Nonsense”, says she, in her tracksuit . . . . And then it starts to snow!! π
