Getting up today

Have you forgotten something?

Putting on your face!

 

I am so used to seeing pansies with little faces, that finding one without, just seems ‘naked’ somehow.

When I was a kid, my Mum would always point out the happy little faces on pansies. And also, before leaving the house, she would put on lipstick and say she was “putting on her face!”

    Very unusual for a pansy not to have a face. Memories of your mom putting on her lipstick and her face are precious. I had an older friend that would put on her makeup and say she was putting on her face for the world.

    I haven’t put on a face for so long. Every tube of whatever color in my drawer has dried up. Just keep them as colorful memories of yesterdays. sigh……….
