Here’s Looking at YooHoo, Kid!
Though their feathers make Owls look a little out of focus, their eyes are always crystal clear.
If an Owl sees you, you know you are most definitely spotted!
post script: Who said, “Here’s looking at you, kid?” It is most often remembered as the line spoken by Humphrey Bogart in the movie Casablanca, but seems to have predated that.
post post script: Owl at the World of Birds.
Hilarious! 🙂

Owls are so gorgeous – I love seeing them in the wild. Too bad it’s a rare occasion when I do (though I did see one in Louisiana a couple weeks ago).

I love taking photos of owls, I think its their eyes, so clear and steady. He or she is a beauty. We followed one once along one of the dykes, just like a little white ghost. We have ‘little owls’ in the garden and a barn owl swops past most nights. The are indeed beautiful 🙂 Do you know what this one is 🙂

How lovely you have so many owls 🙂
This (young) one is possibly a Spotted Eagle Owl. Sorry, but there were so many to see! Next visit I must take a photo of each description board so I know! 🙂

It was the spots that had me wondering, we saw an eagle owl in Scotland and they are big birds, but have no spots, but still beautiful, he was sat on a post, just watching the world go by 🙂

I think there are different types of Eagle Owl – there is a Cape Eagle Owl, that is also large. It just makes your day to see an owl. 🙂

🙂 Beautiful bird and a real meat eater. Probably why they are raising hamsters there!

Owls are amazing. I saw one up close once at a nature event. Beautiful birds. It’s too bad they built houses and took away the place for the owls to live.

Most pictures of owls look stern or majestic or foreboding. This one has a sweet and cuddly look. Sorta.

I see very few owls 😟 I wish there were more to see or maybe I just need to look up from my flowers every once in a while 😉

I think they are hard to spot, probably because they are nocturnal! 🙂

last night when I drove home, Melville in Jozi, there was an owl in the road!

Fantastic! I love that they can still survive in our concrete jungle! 🙂
When I lived in Weltevreden Park, owls flew nightly along a small stream opposite us. Then they built houses all over that little stretch of wilderness. No more owls!
