Pantaloons!

Olive Thrush 1 Pantaloons!

Olive Thrush 1 Pantaloons!

This Olive Thrush loves to take his bath here in the dog’s water bowl, instead of in the bird bath provided. After a dip, he perched on the edge of the bowl and floofed his feathers out, looking like he was wearing pantaloons!

Here he is, splashing merrily away; spilling lots of water.

So thatΒ is why there is never any water in the dog’s bowls!

And here he is taking a bath; even in the rain!

You’d think that all he had to do was stand out on the stoep and the heavy rain would do the rest. With all the water shortages we have had lately, he could save water and take a shower instead of a bath!

Oh that is so sweet. Toffee has realised he loves water and will stand with his his front legs in the big dogs water bowel and then dig for victory in, covering himself wit water, which he loves and the floor……think I would prefer the thrush πŸ™‚

I’m going to have to do a post comparing our Olive Thrushes and Cape Robins (if I can ever photo one.). Our Robins are So much nicer! πŸ™‚
But I still like the tiny British Robins the best! πŸ™‚

To be honest, I have no idea what American robins look like, but certainly the British robins I grew up with are very different to the Cape robins here in Cape Town. πŸ™‚
