Guess what? I’m back!
Though my appearances may be sporadic, as unforeseen events crop up and take a large chunk out of my day. However, normal service will be resumed as soon as possible
I hope you are well and I look forward to catching up with you all.
And a Very Big Thank You for all your messages of condolence, love and hugs sent across the miles through cyberspace. Every single one helped.
It’s nice you are back and in good spirits too. 🙂

Thank you very much, and for Storm’s nudges. 🙂 But please don’t worry about being behind on anyone’s posts – just pop by when you can: we all understand and are just happy to hear from you now and then. 🙂

Good to have you back, even sporadically. I think maybe all of the admin surrounding the loss of a loved one is perhaps to give us something to concentrate on! Sending good thoughts and wishes your way.

It’s good to see you back; I missed you,
Take good care of yourself, and ask others to help with what they can concerning the Admin responsibilities.
Give the dogs a big hug from their aunty Genie.

Aw Thank you so much Genie. 🙂 Fortunately I am not dealing with all this alone, but it is still exhausting. Walking my dogs and giving extra cuddles does help. 🙂

Thank you so much 🙂 And yes, we should all be so lucky to live that long. 🙂

Much sympathy regarding your elderly’s passing. 97 certainly is a long life, which must have resulted from right living. We just found out that a daughter of some friends in Canada died young from breast cancer. They are the sweetest people, all vegetarians who care about everyone with deep passion… (and sometimes life just isn’t fair).
So glad you are back and doing better! 🙂

Thank you very much, Tom 🙂 I think that though healthy living plays a big part in how long you live, mostly it seems to be in the genes, as my Elderly’s siblings were/are in their 90’s also.
So sorry to hear of your friend’s daughter passing. We think breast cancer is treatable these days, but it still isn’t always. And your child should not die before you.

Thanks, Sci. Yes, a lot of it is indeed genetic!
(Her breast cancer was discovered when it was already at stage 4, and she passed just one month after it had been discovered.)

Aw that is heartbreaking. You just don’t think of cancer when you are young.

Scifi, I’m so sorry what happened. But I think with an age of 97 your Elderly had a fulfilled life. Nevertheless, whenever someone is going, it’s always the wrong time and a long life is only a little comfort.
You have my deepest sympathy, Scifi.
And you’re right to come back: Blogging is a good way to handle the grief.
My very best wishes,
Ulli

Thank you for your kind words Ulli 🙂 There’s always so much to do, but it is also important to take the time to grieve, and to do normal things as well, like blogging. It’s good to hear from you 🙂

Take the time you need, Scifi.
Best wishes,

haha I wasn’t calm to start with, just super stressed, but it’s been a few weeks now, so things do start to slow down and you can breathe again.
Thank you for your support 🙂

I’m so sorry I missed your Absence post, but had certainly missed finding your daily inspiration in my email. My deepest sympathies on the passing of Your Elderly. It sounds like a long life, well lived. Take care and just take the admin a day at a time.

I actually was looking for your email address thru your blog last night, but wasn’t able to find it. I wanted to check in on you.
I’m glad things are better over there. I hope everyone is as well as they can be. 😊

Aw – Thank you so much 🙂 That is the nicest thing. Weird tho, cos I thought our emails sort of showed up when we commented etc.
My Elderly died, but at the grand age of 97, so a good long life. It’s just you cannot believe the amount of Admin there is!
But I needed to get back to some semblance of normality and Blogging is like therapy! 🙂
Thanks again for checking up on me, catch up soon. 🙂

OMG, I totally didn’t look there for the email. I’m a dork. I am usually commenting/answering via my phone and it doesn’t look the same as the ‘puter.
I’m glad you’re adjusting. It’s not an easy thing for some folks. I ‘lost it’ pretty much when my Mom died. I wasn’t really ‘right’ for a few years.
I totally use blogging as therapy. Its been great to write and the folks I’ve met have been super cool! =-) That’s you!

Well, I don’t know if my email Is there?
Yeah, took me a good 3 years to ‘get over’ losing my Mum, but I still miss her and think of things she’d like. It takes as long as it takes, but all the ‘stuff’ you have to do after someone has died really doesn’t help.
I’m happy to be back here and having some me time blogging. And support from great friends like you 🙂

I looked and yes, you’re email addy is right there in front of me… I’m a dork. I’ve just not had many reasons to seek out an email address. I know they were somewhere, as folks email me gardening questions all the time.
Yes, the ppwrk involved is horrible. It went on for years. Not bad stuff, just weird stuff. Too long to share.
Glad things are getting normal.. as normal as they can be, I mean. 😊
