Sunset Fly-by

Sunset Geese

Sunset Geese

Wedgie!

Egyptian Geese fly by in a wedge formation, heading into the setting sun.

I know the photo is a little blurred, but the light was rapidly fading and my trusty point and click Canon did its best, at least capturing the spirit of the evening flight.

post script: You can read here about Why geese fly in a V shape. And Dawn Patrol to see my skein of flying geese.

Looked like a wonderful evening to be enjoying the sky.
As my grandpa would say, “Don’t let your mouth hang open while looking up at birds… you don’t want to get a taste of something…” 😝

Well, I don’t know where these guys were going – it is winter here, but they stay all year round. But, I know what you mean – I get wistful watching 747’s flying over head, bound for the UK! 🙂

This makes me think of the Mighty Ducks, lol. I thought the photo turned out great. My pictures of sunsets never come out, the color is always off and it never looks as impressive as what’s there.
