Hiding deep down in a plant pot on my stoep, this flower always surprises me when it suddenly appears out of nowhere, after its winter sleep.
My sparaxis flower has been popping up regularly every spring for well over a decade now. Truly a Spring Flower!
You are like the Encyclopedia Britannica, so good at all those names and information of all the plants and animals you photograph. Lovely flower. 🙂

hahaha Thank you so much! 🙂
I actually look things up for myself – and then add the link for whomever wants more info. 🙂

I completely understand – as our weather here in CT so far has not been as hot as usual – and I am not complaining! 😀

Well, where I live, there is seldom a nice winterwonderland. But if we get snow, I’ll take photos 📷📸📷📸

Oh goodie! Thank you 🙂
It snowed for my daughter last year when she was in Berlin. 🙂

Yes, in Berlin is another climate. Although Germany is a small Country we have very different climate-zones. We mostly have West-weather, that means mild and wet in winter, determind by the atlantic ocean. Our chance to get snow is a change of weather coming from the North, scandinavian weather.
The east of Germany has the continental climate, coming from the East, russian climate, dry and cold with lot’s of snow.
Have a nice spring, Scifi 💐

Ah That explains it. 🙂 Thank you 🙂
Even a small country like UK has different climates on each side of the Pennines, and here in SA, which is pretty large, the climate is completely different in many places. 🙂
Have a Nice Weekend 🙂

Yes, the theme of climate is really complex, Scifi.

Actually, I do nothing for this hidden bulb – which is probably how it has managed to survive! 🙂

Thank you. 🙂 It seems to have changed colour slightly over the years; I remember it less purple and it’s about 12 to 14 inches tall.
The plant that keeps giving, cos I do nothing for it! (Hmm perhaps that is Why it survives?) 🙂
