I love seeing winter photos on other blogs; typical December scenes from the Northern hemisphere.
I thought you might like to see some typical views from the Southern hemisphere.
So here are a few photos to tide you Northeners over the cold December weeks.
When you celebrate Christmas and the return of the sun, these are the sights you can look forward to, next summer.
On the other hand, I guess we Southerners will be celebrating the departure of the sun? – Which is in no way a bad thing!
Unless you are actually at the beach, December is way too hot down here!
Ah, yes, we have summer hot Christmas in the Southern Hemisphere… It is extremely hot today in Argentina… 😀 Love that you included these photographs (can I ask you where they were taken!?) …. happy holidays to you, dear Scifihammy 🎅🏽🌲

I grew up in the UK so was used to cold snowy Christmases. It has taken many years to get used to these very hot ones.
This beach is at Muizenburg in Cape Town, South Africa.
Wishing you very Happy Holidays too, Aquileana. 🙂

It looks glorious. We don’t get too many summer days that look like that up here though 😉

AH yes – it took me a while to get used to the clear blue skies, after growing up in UK 🙂

Snow pictures? We can get you plenty of those. You can hardly see the first floor of our house, the plows have piled the snow so high next to the road.

Oh my goodness! I never saw that much snow, even when living in the north of England. No wonder Choppy likes to stay indoors! 🙂

This morning she jumped into the snow in a neighbor’s yard, clearly thinking it was only a foot or so deep. It was definitely not – I thought I was going to have to rescue her when it was probably two feet deep! I am guessing it had drifted that deep.

Oh my goodness! There could have been anything hiding in that drift – lucky she did not hurt herself.

If we worried about that, we would never go outside in the winter! You just take your chances!

Having just watched a musical video of Love is Blue, this fits in very nicely. I can offer an empty blue basin 2 (see earlier post today) in comparison. Happy Holidays Sci.

Yes, it is the remembrance of summer that makes winter tolerable… knowing it will pass.
But you are being mischievous, showing us northerns photos of what we crave! Sunshine and warmth on a sandy beach! 😉

haha That was not my intention – I was really trying to warm you all up! 🙂
It can often be way too hot here, which is why I love to see snow photos in other blogs. 🙂

I suppose you could try and make angels in the sand, but it has to be so much easier in snow! 🙂

You can make sand angels in winter – in summer it is too hot! 😀
