The Last Rose

Rose 1

Ethereal and delicately pale; this last rose of Autumn.

My daughter’s floribunda rose bush has continually produced pink blooms since the start of Spring, six months ago.

Rose 2

This is what it looked like then, in October last year.

I thought it interesting that these two photos, taken so far apart, were so similar; the position of the rose and buds being almost identical.

Although my Autumn rose is a little faded now, all it needs isΒ dead-heading one last time before it has a little siesta.

Then it will be back in business for its winter blooming!

I think that as a floribunda rose bush, there will often be one rose in bloom with others as buds, in a clump. It was just these were so very similar. πŸ™‚
Roses are very cheerful flowers. πŸ™‚

It seems that I can’t keep up with the seasons in your country….you always suprise me πŸ™‚ Kind of looking forward to warmer weather myself since it has been cold and wet some time now.

Yes, I am sure you’re more than ready for your summer warmth. πŸ™‚
We have completely opposite seasons down here, but summer is very long and winter quite short. It took me a long time to adapt after moving here from the UK.
