Red Sky

Red Skies 1

It is rare for me to see a red sky, with little hint of blue or purple, and this is such a deep red, it is really dramatic.

Red Skies 2

While I was taking my photos at dusk, with the sun rapidly setting, I was “serenaded” – if you can apply that term here – by a couple of Egyptian Geese, standing atop a neighbour’s roof and screeching loudly to another couple some distance away.

It is not a pretty sound!

You can read more about the noisy birds here: Sittin’ on a Roof and Cacophony.

What a dramatic and gorgeous sky! Too many computer problems that I shut down and took a vacation and now I am back and I look forward to catching up with you πŸ™‚

Sorry to hear about your computer problems. Sometimes when things go wrong it takes ages to fix them.
I’ll go catch up with you now. πŸ™‚

I miss the geese and waterfowl from the marina. I saw the swan with six cygnets a little while ago, so it was good to know that she had only lost one of her brood. It is quite amusing though to see ducks on the house roofs here!

We hope so. We are avidly looking at prospective properties, one being a log cabin in the middle of nowhere, so we could practically have had our own nature reserve. However, it’s location was a little too remote considering our age and mobility issues should we no longer be able to drive for instance, but we do keep thinking about it…………
