I love the curls of these poppy leaves that I photographed a while ago. It was hard to catch them as it was a very windy day and the poppies were dancing all over the place.
What did Mr Rabbit think of the dancing poppies?
He didn’t say. He was silent as a stone!

Curlicue – A decorative curl or twist in calligraphy or in the design of an object
I remember when I first found out that the name Poppy is actually after a flower. I was rather surprised.

haha It was the other way round for me – I knew of Poppy the flower, but didn’t know anyone called that till new neighbours moved in and their daughter was Poppy. π

Often it is way too windy (for flower photography) here too! Too many winds from an angry Mother Nature!

I have mixed feelings about the wind. On the one hand, if it weren’t for the strong winds here in summer it would be even hotter, but then again, the wind just evaporates our dams even faster.

Neat post. I like the rabbit Sci. Reminds me of the one we bought for my Mum and teased her into believing it was real at first. A happy memory.

It is, and a funny one. One I shared with Bro in NZ when I spoke to him last week.
