Shaggy Dog has her bi-annual bath.
Here she is lathered up with dog shampoo, ready to be rinsed off.
The saddest dog is a wet dog!
Shake your booty!
I’m sitting my very best sit. Any treats going, Dad?
This is my cutest face. Come on guys! Who’s got them?
Is it you, Mum?
All right!
Now I’m all fluffy and super cuddly.
Well my very own Shaggy Dog, your ordeal is over till next year.
So sweet! Nothing like a clean fluffy doggie! They’re all different in terms of natural oils in their fur — my vet said once a month at the most is ok

Thank you 😀
Yes, this is true – they all have different grooming needs. I’m just lucky that my dogs have been fairly low maintenance. 🙂

LM’s a real beauty! 🙂 Our little Lola is a miniature dachshund and, being a dachshund, she needs baths more frequently. Marla is getting reconstructive shoulder surgery soon and i am the one assigned to dog-bathing!

Yes the little dogs do seem to get dirty more easily. Good luck bathing Lola – and I hope all goes well for Marla’s surgery. 🙂

TWICE A YEAR??!! Jeez. Fergus gets bathed every couple of weeks.

haha LM would die of shock! 😀
Also, Fergus is closer to the ground so it’s probably harder to keep clean!
LM isn’t dirty and never smells (unless she’s rolled in something!) – the dirt brushes off her. I just think she needs freshening up now and then. 🙂

Yes, Fergus’ hair sheds dirt as well — people are always exclaiming at how clean he is on the day I plan to give him a bath — but he has those long, flowy ears and they get a little oily from the inside out, then start to smell like dirty feet so I have to do something. Plus, he gets groomed every 5 weeks or so (and is doing so today, in fact), and they bathe him of course. He doesn’t mind it, sometimes struggles to stay awake through the process LOL.

It’s good he enjoys being groomed. 🙂 Some dogs do need more attention to their coat – or ears.
Funny, but when I went to choose LM, one of my requisites was that she would be a short haired dog – because the two I had at the time needed their fur trimming regularly on their legs, tail and feet! 🙂

haha Thank you .She had many treats so was quite happy in the end. 🙂
And I picked a really hot day so she dried outside in no time. 🙂

I just wanna smush Little Monkey’s face with kisses! Her expressions speak volumes about the stress of being bathed, in public, in front of a camera!! Give that sweetie another well-deserved treat!
