Honeysuckle gold
Soaking up the warm sunshine
Reflecting it back
.
These are the Honeysuckle bushes we planted several months ago to brighten up a new wall.
They have flourished!
Producing flowers already, they are even ahead of the older bushes around the corner.
They range from yellow, gold and orange, to red at the end, though those flowers are not out yet.
They certainly brighten up my day, when I open the curtains in the morning to be greeted by their colourful smiles.
And the Sunbirds have found them again, adding a little more sunshine to the day.
post script: Sunny photos as requested by Blosslyn, who is “In the “Bleak Mid-winter” – and for all of you in the North, who are fed up of winter.
I bet they smell amazing!

Our different hemispheres. Today I wrote about crocuses and snow drops and yesterday you wrote about these beautiful honeysuckles.

Beautiful honeysuckle, we’re about a month away from those popping out all over.

I love honeysuckle. It looks like the clematis we bought last year has died, so I may try honeysuckle instead. It will bring the bees in as does the lavender.

Maybe you’ll even get a sunbird or two! 😀

would be nice. So far no takers for our bird feeder apart from one very fat-getting-fatter pigeon.

Oh yes thank you 🙂 …….honeysuckle will always do the trick, instant sunshine, love the colours and do they have that lovely smell. We have a very pale cream one, that when flowering, smells gorgeous in the evening 🙂

Glad the photos helped. 😀
Sadly, my honeysuckle doesn’t seem to have a scent, but my jasmine does. 🙂

Oh the smell of jasmine in a warm summers evening is wonderful, shame about the honeysuckle, but they do look nice 🙂

First time seeing honeysuckle in all its colors and splendour up front and personal. Read about honeysuckles but never seeing it till your photos. Lovely and I can imagine how bright and cheery your hedge is looking!😀👍

Thank you 🙂
Yes, there are many different varieties and colours. My new plants are coming along well, and the ones planted the year before are massive! I’ll trim them into a hedge after they have flowered. 🙂

Oh! Boy! I haven’t seen Honeysuckle since I was a kid. We had a section of it in our yard. Yes, honeysuckle would brighten up any day. We’re expecting a bunch of snow and ice here, so your photos will be looked at many times to keep me sane!!! Lol.

Aw Thank you 🙂 Glad the sunny pics helped a bit. 🙂
I wouldn’t mind some snow here – tho today has been cooler as we had a strong breeze. 🙂

Just beautiful. We had Honeysuckle vines around our patio when we lived in Houston TX many years ago. Never looked as good as yours, but smelled great.

These grow very easily here in the Cape Town sun – but they don’t have much of a scent. Still, I have some jasmine that makes up for it. 🙂
