Haiku 108
Rose of palest pink
Fade into the grey background
Quietly exist
.
My husband was given this rose at the shops the other day. Apparently it, and others like it, were deemed not to be fresh enough to belong in the bunches of flowers for sale.
I am enjoying its simplicity and delicate colour.
And it is lasting the longest time!
A nice back-story to this haiku.

This pale colored rose is simply beautiful in its natural progression of life. Kudos to the shop for at least giving it to your hubby so you could enjoy its beauty and fragrance instead of just tossing it in the trash.
Your photo captures the elegance of this rose perfectly.

I think there’s too much drive for perfection in this world. I enjoy the odd parts of things that others poopoo quite often. π

Absolutely. π It is the odd and imperfect that is interesting. π
