The leaves that are green

Finally turn to yellow

Flutter to the ground

My apple tree is running a little behind the rest of the garden. I look out and see the tree is still covered in green leaves, but at least some are now falling. The oak tree and syringa have been bare for a while now.

All the rest of the garden is green or in full bloom, like my poinsettia, camellia and honeysuckle.

Winter is weird in the Western Cape!

      Fortunately your seasons are short, so it should start cooling off for you soon. 🙂
      Here it has been quite a cool winter, more like the old days! I love it! 😀

      Well the apple tree is always out of sync! 😀
      And our winters are mild, tho it is quite chilly at the moment and supposed to be 5C tomorrow – which is cold for here! 😀

    Weird but beautiful.Your lawn makes a perfect canvas for the fallen leaves.

    We are trapped in a horrific heat wave so these photos that look like our fall are very welcome. But when I think of the weeks you endure these temperatures during your summer months, I will refrain from complaining!! 🤗

      Oh I’d rather have cold than heat any day. 😀
      I don’t know how hot it gets for you, but it usually isn’t Too bad here in summer – just that I complain a lot! 😀

      Yes this is it, tho I think Florida is quite a lot warmer.
      It is chilly for here, 5C tomorrow morning, but there is so much blooming away it doesn’t feel like winter! 😀
