In the canopy
I spot a squirrel monkey
Monkey see me too!
.
Visiting the World of Birds wildlife sanctuary in Hout Bay, Cape Town recently, we went inside the Squirrel Monkey enclosure to get up close and personal with the little monkeys.
It seems they were checking us out just as much as we were checking them out.
What a cheeky lil one! It looks like Dexter the monkey in Night Museum (Ben Stiller movie as night watchman and all exhibits come to life)! The same laugh!

There is an abundance of squirrels here. They are very rambunctious! I couldn’t imagine them mingling with monkeys in the trees. π

They are so cute! π Like a cross between a squirrel and a primate… so they have a good name! π

What a long tail!! But I guess it would have to be long to be of any use. I love this monkey’s expression….”Well, who are you and what are you doing in my home?”
Great picture Sci.

There are no wild monkeys that I know of in SA, but plenty here in the wildlife sanctuary. π
