Star-struck dianthus

.

A dianthus in a pot on my stoep, after heavy rain.

Due to the bokeh, the flower seems disembodied from the rest of the plant.

I use star-struck here to mean literally struck by stars (raindrops).

Yes, every drop is always much appreciated – though I feel I have to point out that what passes for Heavy Rain here would make you laugh! 😀
Hint – we measure our rainfall in millimetres – starting at 0.1mm! 😀

I love the color of your dianthus. Mine are light pink and are just about finished for this season. The raindrops just add to its beauty, whether you see them as stars or diamonds! Great Haiku.

Have a really nice weekend Sci.

      Thank you very much 😀
I have a selection of colours for my dianthus, but the red is the most vibrant. 🙂
hehe I’ve done “diamonds” before so had to find another word. 😀
