Gnarly old branches

Every spring surprising me

With new beginnings

.

My ancient apple tree was here when we bought the house, eons ago.

Its trunk is lumpy and diseased, yet it still somehow manages to regenerate each year.

Every time I walk past this tree I check it for new growth. First there were a few new green leaves.

Then finally, one day, I spot what I’ve been waiting for. The first apple blossom.

Now it is spring!

    Spring and gorgeous apple blossoms! Perfect. Enjoy this wonderful season of new beginnings Sci. We are enjoying (😡) temperatures of 20 degrees every morning and it’s early afternoon before we’ve warmed up some. I love your old gnarly apple tree. She has such character and is certainly capable of producing beautiful, healthy blossoms!

      I do love both spring and autumn – Summer is too hot for me down here!
      Yes, I am attached to my gnarly old apple tree! 😀

      Aw – Don’t be jealous – it is turn and turn about.
      I find our summers way too hot – and shall be dreaming of your cold. snowy winter! 😀 – Hot chocolate by the fire, cuddled up with Jimi 😀
