I Am Three!

Yes, it is three years since I clicked the Publish button on the very first post of my brand new blog; and I haven’t looked back since.

Below are extracts from my first and second anniversary posts; because I really can’t say it any better than this.

First Year:

I’d like to thank the WP community for being so great. And I’d like to thank everyone who has popped by my blog and liked or commented on a post. I thoroughly enjoy seeing all of your amazing photos and reading your posts. I feel like I know some of my “regulars” as friends, even though we have never met, nor are likely to, being separated in most instances by vast oceans.

And Thank You to all of you out there who make the whole blogging experience a pleasant one. WP is a community, and if it wasn’t for feedback, likes and comments, what would be the point? I’d still be sitting here listening to the crickets chirp!

Second Year:

But just to reiterate; thank you to everyone who has followed me all this time and who continues to support me and offer words of wisdom and sarcastic comments. I appreciate them all! (You know people are your friends when they start being sarcastic!)

I thoroughly enjoy following all your blogs too.

Third Year:

I’d just like to say a very big thank you to all of my faithful followers, who like and comment on my posts, even when sometimes you don’t get my sense of humour, or British-ness/South African-ness.

To my old friends, thank you for sticking with me; and to my new friends, welcome aboard and I hope you enjoy the ride.

Without the interaction of my blogging friends, there’d be no fun in blogging.

And as long as I’m having fun, I’ll keep on blogging.

    Happy blog-a-versary! I had completely forgotten about the guinea pigs – I loved those pics.

    And I got a little teary looking at all those pics of Mr. Spaghetti Legs. I miss seeing his cute little face and spots. I’m probably also a little emotional because Choppy had her first senior dog vet appointment yesterday – the time we have with them goes by too quickly.

      Yeah, I had to have old SL in there, as he is very much a part of my blog. I only had him 3 years, but he must have been at least 15. LM is almost 12, but I’m hoping she’ll also make 15 – and Choppy too! 🙂

      There was a whole family of Egyptian geese at the Gardens in Cape Town, sploshing in a puddle on the path, even tho there was a large pond right next to them! 😀

    I completely consider you a very close blogger friend, and most likely the farthest away buddy I have. I’ve never had an issue understanding your humour (aside from you spelling it with a u) I’m a funny blogger, Jim! Not a serious one 😉
    I had to look back at posts 1 year and 2. Seems I’ve been around a while as I’ve already liked them.
    I miss Mr. Spaghetti Legs. He had the cutest face and I loved his spots. Thanks for throwing some old pix of him in this montage. I remember many of these pix. The fiery sunset is a beaut also.
    I am truly glad you brighten my day, daily with your posts. Happy anniversary and enjoy your day! 😘

      It took me a while to sort all the photos out, so I really appreciate you taking the time to look thro them all. I had to put old SL in there; he is very much a part of my blog.
      And yes, I remember you commenting on a photo of my old dog TJ, in my very early days, and we’ve been friends ever since. I think like-minded people and those with a similar sense of humour somehow get together on WP. But I’m a scientist Jim, not a psychiatrist! 😀
      And I enjoy always learning something new on your blog, about plants, or dogs, or camping. 🙂
      Sorry – but your creepy clown emoticon does not show up here on my laptop, nor on my smart phone – for which I am secretly relieved! 😀 😀
