I wish this marvellous tree was in my garden, and not in a neighbour’s round the block.
With a tree like this, who needs one inside, all decorated with wessel cups?
I pass by this wonder quite often, when I walk the dogs this way; always meaning to take a photo. Today was the day!
And what were the dogs doing?
Waiting patiently, of course. And yes, LM is sitting with her bum up on the kerb! Such an elegant lady!
It was nearly 5pm, (long shadows), but still hot. Frosty the snowman was nowhere to be seen!
post script: I have googled this tree for you. It is an Illawarra flame tree; Brachychiton acerifolius. You’re welcome!
Lovely tree, I would love one too π

That’s an Australian tree and they’re not that uncommon in Brisbane where I’m from. They’re absolutely stunning trees.

Why am I not surprised it is Australian? Your flora grows so well here π – We have tons of Blue Gum trees π
It really does stand out and I haven’t seen another one.

Happy Holidays Sci!
That really is a pretty tree but with most big trees, I bet it makes a lot to rake up in autumn.

haha You are right! Even now, mid summer, there’s tons of red stuff on the ground. Fortunately, as it’s not my tree, I don’t have to worry about that π

I don’t mind neighbors having great trees, as long as I can see them also. No work and all the enjoyment! π³ This one is very cool. Actually in the magnolia family, if you know those. .. This one has a wonderful color!
