I drank so much vodka last night that this morning I woke up with a Russian accent.     – Anon

It’s National Vodka Day! If you’ve visited my blog lately you’ll have noticed a cheery countdown to this very special day.

I’d like to thank Pyotr Smirnov for helping me through all the tough times over the years!

 

I recently told a friend that I’d drunk a whole bottle of vodka in a month.

She said, “A month??”

I’m thinking oopsie.

She added, “What’s wrong with that?”

I love my friends!

    Well in that case, I WILL have a drink tonight. My go to lately has been Bloody Mary’s… if only Mona will stop trying to steal licks from it. 😀

    I like Voka, it’s a good drink, however, I can’t drink because I discovered that the migraines that I would always got after having a drink came from the sulphites in all alcohol, and that included the organic stuff too — sulpites are added after the manufacturing process (it’s written in tiny letters on the bottles),

      Sorry to hear about your migraines. At least if you’ve found a trigger you can avoid it. My migraines are usually caused by stress and/or bright light.
      There’s something called congeners (I think) in alcohol too, which are bad for hangovers etc. There are more in red wine or brandy, but none in vodka, which I think is why I can tolerate it.

    I wondered why it took took a whole month to drink a bottle 😉 An off month? Ha ha!
    I love vodka, it’s so versatile. I can think of at least 5 different drinks I like with it. 🍸

      haha 🙂 Actually a bottle usually lasts me many months. But yes, it’s a very versatile drink. 🙂
      And I can’t believe how excited I was watching my countdown! haha 😀
