The photo shows Little Monkey lying next to the hair I have just brushed off her. It gives a whole new meaning to the expression, ‘Shedding the light’.
Who knew Little Monkey was so blonde?
I guess that explains why she is such a Noo Noo!
And why is she moulting now? We are in the middle of a cold snap and heading deeper into winter!
Little Monkey: Dog of Mystery!
post script: Apologies to my fair-haired Blogger friends for the Blonde joke!
She’s proving the birds with nesting material…..that’s what my dad use to say about our dog. We would help him tidy up the fluff by running down the garden with it and putting it in the bushes for the birds 😄

Aw That’s a cute story. 🙂
Yes, I also leave some dog hair for the birds in spring. Not much point now we’re mid-winter. 🙂

You’re lucky, Scifi, to have a dog that emits hair via brushing. We have to cut the hair of our Shih Tzu, Gabbie, with scissors and an electric razor… and it’s a long, tough process! (And she needs her hair short in these extremely hot days!)

I understand this only too well, as I had two such hairy dogs, Madam and TJ. When I went to the rescue centre to adopt a new dog, among my prerequisites was – “Short-haired, minimal grooming!” Hence LM! 🙂

maybe she is going to grow a heavier undercoat because it is going to be colder?

This is it – but it’s Already cold, so she better hurry up! 😀

I’ve always called my baby Bella “a blonde” vs “blonde”. That’s how I try to avoid sounding mean to blondes everywhere.

Yes, that’s a good idea, tho I’m sure most blondes are used to all the jokes by now. 🙂

It’s much harder when you’re a dog breed that is known for its intelligence (Papillon). If she were a shitzu or something a little more dense, it would just be “oh she’s a dog.” I can only imagine how dense border collies feel…

Wow!! That is a big hair ball….if you comb her much more, she will have no fur left ha ha!😉

haha You’d think, wouldn’t you? But I groom her twice a week at the moment – and still More hair! 😀

Well, Little Monkey and Mr. Bowie got something in common… losing a lot of hair after brushing!

hehehe I can imagine Mr Bowie excels at this. 😀

haha I was a true red head who is now turning blonde! (We don’t go grey) And I thought it very funny! (I do have blonde moments, and senior moments and well just moments!)

I think we All have ‘blonde’ moments at times, no matter our hair colour. 🙂

Oh my! You can start knitting a sweater with that! Ok, at least a scarf 😆
It’s funny that dogs shed before the cold, you’d think it would be the opposite, when it’s getting hot. My boys get a little trim off their butts and feet to keep Klingons and mud off of them. Breck gets this baby – fine hair on his flanks that gets tangled in everything. We prune that for summer, but let it get long for winter… so he can get tiny snowballs hanging from them 😉😉

I expected LM to get her winter coat Before winter! She’s not much of a sheddy dog – except pre-summer.
Border Collies do have lots of fur. I like the idea of mini snowballs, but I guess it’s a pain once they melt inside on the carpet!

Lol…I think…(I’m blonde!) You could knit LM a little friend out of her own fur!! 😸😸😸💕x

hahaha Yes! I could make her a tiny pal! 🙂
And Thanks for being a sport! 🙂

When Maggie’s throwing her coat, it’s like having another dog, there’s so much fur! Then she shakes herself and sheds even more!
