Sunday Musings #58

All you have to know about celery is that it’s made up of 95% water, and it’s 100% not pizza.

I thought it was time for a fun Musing. And this quote, I couldn’t agree with more.

When I was a kid, my Mum would make healthy food; salads and the like. In the salad there were always radishes, (I still don’t get them!) and in a separate bowl were sticks of celery.

Honestly, the taste! Blegh!

But pizza now; oh yeah!

Lettuce tastes like metal to me! I have to force it down. So glad it is nearly winter, and I can forget about salad for a few months! πŸ™‚

I make homemade pizza twice a week. The way i make it is super easy and (actually) rather healthy and very tasty.
I put 3 very flat tortilla (whole wheat) discs on a pizza pan. Then no salt tomato sauce is poured over it. Then Kraft non-fat mozzarella cheese is sprinkled on with pieces of low-fat stick cheese here and there. Then 2 to 3 tablespoons of canola oil is sprinkled over the cheese; it improves the taste and is way healthier than the regular fat that cheese has. Then i put on toppings… usually just green olive halves and oregano spice. I eat broccoli as a side dish when i eat this.

My parrots go nuts over pizza, but (of course) you can’t give them much!

I love pizza with pesto sauce and eggplant, I’ve been experimenting with different toppings and sauces, but hey! …who doesn’t love pizza?!

My mom loved radishes. We grew them every year. I never liked them… they made me burp for hours after eating them!

You can defeat celery by filling the stick with ketchup, Mayo or salad cream as I used to do. Thinking on it I might as well have thrown the celery away and replaced it with chips.
