That moment when you spell a word so wrong, even auto-correct is like, “I’ve got nothing man.”
– Anon
Actually, I find this happens quite a lot, as I write British English, and not American English. I am repeatedly being advised I have *spelt (and that’s one!) things incorrectly.
But the worst is when I have simply transposed two letters, Auto-correct offers wildly different suggestions that have nothing to do with the ever so slightly misspelt word!
*Above Auto-correct tells me spelt should be “slept”, “pelt” or “pelts”!
The autocorrect on my iPad drives me crazy. I have to watch it like a hawk or it starts sending out the most appalling nonsense in replies to my blogging friends. (Rereads this comment very carefully)

But I know what you mean – and it is usually just as you click Send that you notice all the errors! π

My favorite is when it suggests something that is so far off base that it makes no sense (or when it’s something dirty and it cracks me up!).

Oh, I haven’t had any dirty ones yet! We must have different Auto corrects! π

I think those come up because I’ve used them before – perhaps it’s a good thing you don’t see them!

I hope it works better than auto correct? But what an excellent way for him to communicate π

Haha π we all have thoughs moments, I sometimes write on my blog, it doesn’t look right so I change and it still doesn’t look correct, check out dictionary and comes up with American version, but British was what I first wrote, which then annoys me lol π

haha Exactly π And the more you ‘spell’ a word the harder it becomes π

I have an android phone, which means I have ‘swipe-ability’ and can drag my finger from letter to letter, which is much faster than those iphone folks. However, swiping can create some crazy combos in the spelling department.

Oh my goodness! If I was swiping, I’d be really messed up. π

hahaha Seems to be a Universal problem π And I can only imagine it getting worse when we get speaking technology. How the computer will mess up then! π

Bane of my existence! My God, Miss Autocorrect, the witch*, just changed “bane” to “band”. Hate her.
*Not the word I really want to use.

I know how you feel! The worst thing is that I’ve got so confused with spellings and rushed typing that my autocorrect is horrifically wrong!

haha That’s the worst, when you can’t figure out the spelling π

I know what you mean!! For my handheld device I disabled autocorrect for auto dictionary to offer words as I find that it slows me down instead.

I seem to have Auto Suggest rather than Auto Correct, so that’s ok π
